The event attracted several dozen industry professionals
Capping off a bustling month that saw the California Ground Transportation Regulatory Group (CGTRG) meeting with officials from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and the Enforcement Division of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), the association embarked on its first Education & Networking Mixer.
The event, held on June 25 at the Proud Bird in Los Angeles, brought together many familiar faces from across the industry, especially operators from the Southern California region. The afternoon shindig included a Q&A session with the association’s co-founders—Mo Garkani of The COTS Group as well as industry veterans Mark Stewart and Jack Nissim, who collectively represent more than 100 years of industry experience. Garkani noted the strong showing of longtime colleagues, while Stewart opened the mixer by sharing the inspiration behind CGTRG’s founding and its mission to support California’s ground transportation operators.
