On December 9, the Chauffeured Transportation Association of New Jersey (CTANJ) held their annual holiday dinner party at The Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange. In addition to prime networking and a fine meal, the event also served as a collection for Toys for Tots. Many of the 80 members and guests in attendance, who came from across the country, filled a box full of new, unwrapped toys for the signature Marine Corps-sponsored event.

“I’d like to thank our members and attendees for stepping up to support Toys for Tots. This was an idea that our Treasurer Barry Trabb of Complete Fleet had three years ago,” says CTANJ President Mike Rose of My Limousine Service. “We’re thrilled to participate and collect toys for this worthy organization.”

In addition to the generous Toys for Tots donations, CTANJ also held an auction to benefit the Barbara J. Chirico Scholarship Fun. Chauffeur Driven and the National Limousine Association donated a pass for the upcoming Las Vegas show, held March 1-3 at the MGM Grand. Eric Coolbaugh of Advantage Remarketing Solutions was the lucky winner.

Following the meal, Rose took a few minutes to give a rundown of news related to CTANJ, including the association’s ongoing battle with illegal operators, insurance reform, and the increased Port Authority airport access fees.
“This was a great event,” adds Rose. “It offered an excellent night of fellowship among industry members.”
