On June 24, the Virginia Limousine Association (VLA) held a summer membership meeting. Sponsored and hosted by James Limousine in Richmond, the evening event welcomed 20 members and guests from the commonwealth and beyond.

Chief among the topics discussed at the meeting was the development of a new website for the association, which is scheduled to go live in early July.
“We received a grant from the National Limousine Association last year, and we’re using that to redesign and develop a new site to attract new members,” says VLA President William Kerr of Camryn Limousine.

In addition to unveiling the plans for the new website, the VLA also held an election for three open board seats; however, this ended in a four-way tie. Kerr says they will reach out to all standing members via email to place their votes for the board. Results of the election will be announced once the votes are tabulated.
Lastly, Maryland Livery Association (MLA) President Len Joseph of On The Town Limousines spoke about the upcoming MLA Summer Soiree to be held July 23 and 24 at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, Md. Several VLA members made it their intention to attend the event, which will offer golf, networking, and education.
“It’s no secret that Len and I work well together,” says Kerr. “After all we do share a border. I’m looking forward to attending their Summer Soiree in July.”
