Kristina Bouweiri, the multi-hyphenate powerhouse president & CEO of Reston Limousine & Travel Service, has been honored by the Virginia Business magazine in a recent article showcasing 30 corporate leaders from across the state. This is not the first time that Bouweiri has been cited by the magazine; she was also included in the list as recently as 2021.
Reston President & CEO Kristina Bouweiri
Reston was founded in 1990 with just five cars and grew to 250 vehicles with 450 employees thanks to Bouweiri’s grit and ability to build meaningful connections in the D.C. area as well as the industry. The company has been a major player in the Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia market for decades.
In the article, Bouweiri explains why giving back to her community is a core principle of the company. Expounding upon a time when the company was financially vulnerable in 2001, she recalled the grace she was given by her bank thanks to her deep commitment to serving her local community via donated rides to sick children and veterans’ groups. According to the article, she’s “served on several community and regional boards, raised money for Loudoun Boy Scouts and recruited members for 100WomenStrong, a group that is dedicated to improving life in Loudoun County.”
The award-winning business leader is also up for another award, the 2024 Ernst & Young Mid-Atlantic Entrepreneur of the Year award. She was announced as one of the finalists last month and the winner is expected to be announced in June.

On April 17, Golden Limousine International President Sean Duval was presented the prestigious Mary Kerr Leadership Award by Destination Ann Arbor at their annual meeting. The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to the Michigan community, where the company is based. Duval’s continued support of many organizations in the greater Washtenaw County region has been impactful in a variety of ways, both financially and through his many board positions and involvement with community organizations.
"I am honored and humbled to receive this award. From the start, I envisioned Golden Limousine International as a company that would not only provide top-notch transportation services but would also give back to the community," said Duval. "We believe that by serving our community, we're not just doing good—we're also becoming a better company."
Destination Ann Arbor's mission is to enhance the economy of the Ann Arbor area, and Washtenaw County in general, through the power of travel.

The theme for this year's meeting was "We're not alike. But together we're unlike anyplace else" and its unique format provided an opportunity to hear from members of each of the seven Washtenaw area communities served by Destination Ann Arbor.
The meeting included a recap of the performance of Destination Ann Arbor's 2023 efforts by their staff with the support of their partners within the communities. Like Golden Limousine International, they share the belief that it's in the formula, when you have a plan and you consistently follow it, through the ups and downs, you will find success and create a loyal following. In the end, the formula is simple—treat your guests as you would like to be treated.
Duval founded Golden more than 30 years ago. With an extensive fleet of vehicles and a global network of more than 450 affiliates, they are driven by their commitment to excellence.
