Gem Limousine Service has been honored with the Small Business Excellence Award at the Burlington Chamber of Commerce (Burlington, Ontario) Business Excellence Awards Gala held this past May 19.
The award recognizes outstanding achievement, leadership, customer service, and community impact among small businesses in the Burlington business community. The evening’s gala brought together business leaders and organizations from across the region to celebrate excellence and innovation in local business.
“Each year, the Business Excellence Awards remind us just how strong and connected Burlington’s business community truly is,” says President & CEO of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce Terry Caddo. “The finalists and winners are making a real impact through their leadership and commitment to this community. It was an honour to celebrate their success.”
The recognition comes at a particularly meaningful time for Gem Limousine Service, according to President Dean Williams, as the company is also celebrating the beginning of its 37th year in business. Founded in 1989 by Gary E McGregor—GEM—Gem Limousine has grown from a single-vehicle operation into one of the region’s most respected luxury transportation providers, serving clients throughout Burlington, Hamilton, Halton Region, Toronto, and beyond.

Williams says that Gem Limousine has built a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and innovation in the chauffeured transportation industry over nearly four decades. The company provides a wide range of services including corporate transportation, airport service, weddings, special events, wine tours, and motorcoach transportation for groups and events.
Gem credits its long-term success to its dedicated PAX-trained chauffeur team, the sales/reservation staff, loyal clients, and strong community partnerships. The company has remained deeply involved in local initiatives and organizations throughout its history, supporting numerous charitable and community events across the region.
