Prevost, a Volvo Group subsidiary and North America’s leading luxury motorcoach manufacturer, holds the top spot for overall market share for its best-selling H3-45 in North America, according to ABA and S&P Global Mobility (Polk) data.

Introduced in January 2023, the redesigned H3-45 has led sales since Q2 2024. The manufacturer says it offers up to 12% better fuel economy, nearly 50% less driver-area wind noise, and a next-generation Volvo D13 engine running 6% cleaner than EPA standards, along with improvements to the driver cockpit, passenger entrance, and serviceability.

“When we introduced the H3-45, we re-engineered all aspects of the coach with the customer in mind,” said Prevost President François Tremblay. “Three years later, sales have validated that work.”

Prevost has manufactured coaches in Sainte-Claire, Quebec, since 1924 and operates North America’s largest dedicated service network, including 13 company-owned centers, 55+ mobile units, and more than 160 certified providers through Volvo Trucks’ dealer network.

Operators highlight both performance and support. Todd Campbell of Campbell Bus Lines said: “The H3-45 gives us the best opportunity for cost per mile and profitability. The total package is why we’ve continued to add them to our fleet.”

In other news, Prevost also expanded its Goodlettsville (Tennessee) service center, adding three offices, 32 parking spaces, and increasing service bays from 13 to 19 to improve turnaround times. Branch Manager Mike Miguel noted, “This expansion meets customer expectations while upholding the standards of a premium brand.”

VP of Commercial Operations Kevin Dawson added: “We’re aligning our service centers and mobile units with demand to maximize uptime.” Prevost is also relocating its Franklin Park, Illinois facility to Elk Grove, adding a mobile unit in Las Vegas, and breaking ground on a new Randleman, North Carolina service center in spring 2026, with an early 2027 opening.
