The industry regularly transports VIPs, but it’s not every day that a transportation company becomes part of the action. That’s just what happened to LEADER Worldwide Chauffeured Services in Kansas City, Mo., when the Emmy Award-winning series Ted Lasso brought its production to town—and it wasn’t just their vehicles that were involved.
In addition to providing transportation services as needed, the production utilized LEADER’s headquarters as a home base, transforming their office into a green room for cast and crew. Additionally, the location served as an energy source for charging equipment and supported production operations with power lines installed onsite.
“We were honored to help bring a beloved show to life right here in Kansas City,” said LEADER President & Founder Bruce Heinrich.

The Apple TV+ series, now filming its fourth season, has been seen around Kansas City in recent months, including stops at Union Station and Gates Bar-B-Q. The eponymous star of the series, Jason Sudeikis, grew up in the area and considers Overland Park, Kansas, his hometown.
“It was amazing to see how many moving parts are involved in a single day of filming,” said LEADER Director of Sales and Marketing Jonny Wooddell. “The crew operated like a well-oiled machine. Every role had purpose, the coordination was seamless, and it was so much fun to witness the level of effort that goes into creating just a few scenes.”
