For those who arrive in Savannah early Sunday, we start things off with a bang, courtesy of a bonus session from Ken Lucci of Driving Transactions. The acclaimed industry consultant will present Finance & the Future of Chauffeured Transportation Summit, a briefing that includes financial performance data from more than 1,100 operators and is the culmination of hundreds of hours of research on travel trends and forecasts from related industries our sector depends on. Then, that evening, we head to the Harbor Lawn on the Westin’s waterfront for the Opening Dinner & Party, which will offer a night of drinks, live music, and all-you-can-eat authentic Lowcountry cuisine.

Everything we do in business requires negotiating, which is why you’re sure to appreciate Power, Insight, and Influence: Mastering the Modern Negotiation Conversation, Monday’s two-part session from Tony Perzow, a negotiations expert who has trained executives at companies like Apple, Red Bull, and Rolls-Royce. He has also consulted with dozens of global brands in a variety of industries on high-stakes negotiations, influencing well over $1 billion in sales revenue. After sharing his best tips for better sales, you’ll immediately put those lessons to the test in this highly interactive workshop. You’ll leave feeling empowered and confident. After a day in the classroom, what could be more fun than a night on the water? Our Riverboat Dinner Cruise will give you spectacular views of the Savannah River while serving up a buffet-style dinner, a DJ, and, of course, an open bar.  And, if you’re not ready for the evening to end, depart the boat at the iconic hotspot River Street where you can bar crawl the night away.

On Tuesday, we’re back with a pair of sessions that will look to the future in two distinct ways. First is Beyond the Bottom Line: A Conversation to Creating and Protecting Wealth, presented by financial advisor (and CD columnist) Phil Shetsen of Bona Vita Benefits Group, CPA/Attorney Ryan Curran of Curran & Company, and Attorney Alec Borenstein of Pashman Stein Walder Hayden. Their three-part supersession will navigate a case study to help you understand how to develop and connect to long-term financial planning goals, and what it takes to create wealth all while minimizing your tax burdens and protecting wealth for your heirs. Then in the afternoon, we look ahead at Technology Roundtable: The Future of the Industry, an operator-centric session that will offer an open forum to discuss the software features and equipment that you need for your business. With attendees spread out around multiple tables, a moderator will guide each group in developing an ultimate “wish list” of tech-related software solutions that you desire to make your operation more organized, efficient, and profitable.

On Tuesday evening, things might get spooky as we venture to the city’s Historic District for Savannah Dark History and Ghost Encounter Tour. During this two-hour walking tour, you’ll learn all about the city’s lesser-known history—with provided earbuds—through fun and spookily entertaining storytelling. You might even be convinced by accounts of modern-day paranormal encounters. This event is included in the price of the Retreat but requires preregistration.

Our Savannah adventure concludes on Wednesday morning with an optional Private Savannah Trolley Tour and Dolphin Cruise at Tybee Island. Our tour will view historic squares, elegant mansions, and learn about the city’s rich Southern heritage followed by a cruise through Tybee Island’s-waterways in search of the ever-prevalent bottle-nose dolphin playing in their natural-habitat, bird life, estuaries and marshes they to call home. What’s more, you’ll get scenic views of historic Fort Pulaski, Cockspur Island Lighthouse (built in 1856), and Tybee Island Lighthouse. Then, after this incredible tour, we’ll convene for lunch at the nearby Crab Shack—where the elite eat in their bare feet. Limited to 50 guests, this tour requires pre-registration as well as a separate fee.

And don’t forget: your registration doesn’t just include our educational and nightlife, it also covers your meals. You’ll receive two buffet breakfasts, a Farm to Fork lunch, a Little Italy lunch, and the buffet dinners at our open-bar afterhours events. In short, our retreat attendees never go home hungry!

Again, there’s still time to join us in the Hostess City of the South. Don’t miss out!
