UK-based chauffeured transportation magazine Professional Driver has announced that its annual Car of the Year Judging Day will be held on Tuesday, August 19, and is currently seeking operators to join the event as a judge. The magazine calls the event “the biggest and best reader-judged automotive awards in the industry.”
During the event, which will take place at the Epsom Downs racecourse in Surrey, industry professionals will have the chance to test drive 60 vehicles geared towards chauffeured transportation and give their opinion on various features (using a 17-point questionnaire for each vehicle for consistency).

Once tabulated, the winners will be announced and crowned at the magazine’s annual QSi Awards dinner, which will be held in January 2026 at the Brighton Metropole Hotel Brighton East Sussex.

Award categories include chauffeur cars, executive vehicles, and private hire cars, as well as the best MPV for chauffeuring, the best estate car, and the best luxury SUV. Last year, the BYD Seal was crowned Professional Driver’s Car of the Year, where it triumphed over cars from Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.
