Scott Solombrino President and CEO for Dav El/BostonCoach Scott Solombrino Boston — Marcou Transportation Group, owner of Dav El/Boston Coach, announced that it has acquired Torrey Pines Transportation, one of the San Diego area’s premiere executive and group transportation companies. Dav El/BostonCoach is the largest privately owned chauffeured transportation company in the world and currently operates in over 500 metropolitan markets, across six continents, with a fleet of more than 25,000 vehicles.

Founded in 1987, Torrey Pines Transportation (TPT) is both a family- and woman-owned business that serves its clients wherever they travel. For nearly three decades, TPT has provided an unblemished record of service and safety to corporate travelers, group managers, and private individuals.

The company carries several vehicles in its fleet, including minicoaches, Sprinters, and Teslas. In August, TPT was hailed as one of San Diego’s 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies by the San Diego Business Journal. TPT was also featured in the February 2015 issue of Chauffeur Driven (Click Here).

Additional terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed.

“The acquisition of Torrey Pines Transportation is important to the Dav El/BostonCoach transportation network because it is a natural extension of our current footprint in California, expanding further south to San Diego,” said Scott Solombrino, president and CEO for Dav El/BostonCoach. “More acquisitions are to come, as we play out a strategy to consolidate the highly fragmented chauffeured transportation business.”
