Boston — TBR Global—headquartered in Scotland with offices in Boston, Hong Kong, London, and Barcelona—has expanded its international operations into the Chinese market. The company has opened an office in the business district of Shanghai. Rom Remy, the managing director for TBR’s business operations in the Asia-Pacific region, will manage the site.
TBR, which already works with a number of corporations, event management companies, and travel management companies (TMCs) in Europe and the United States, will provide logistical support to business travelers and meetings delegates in the Chinese business hub and across the country.
Michael O’Hare, the chief executive of TBR Global, said: “China is already the world’s biggest economy. As the business community expands in Shanghai and across the country, there is a fast-growing demand for robust, executive transportation services. The company has enjoyed significant growth over the last 12 months. The opening of our new office in Shanghai will, therefore, contribute significantly to our continued growth across the globe.”
TBR Global is an award-winning ground transportation management company operating worldwide. The company moves just under one million passengers a year with 850 movements a day across 3000 cities in 126 countries, according to a press release from the company.

Gina Brennan, Owner and CEO of Corporate Car
Minneapolis — Gina Brennan, owner and CEO of Corporate Car & Coach, was recently honored as one of Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s Women in Business 2015. She was one of 51 winners who come from many different industries and levels of experience. They were honored at a luncheon this past May 28 at The Depot in Minneapolis.
Brennan walked away from corporate life in human resource management to run Corporate Car. Within three years after her transition, she had doubled the company’s revenues to $2 million. She is one of the founders of the Minnesota Chauffeured Transportation Association, for which she is serving her second term as president. The article in the May 29 edition of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal notes that, through the association, they were able to successfully pass the 2014 Chauffeured Transportation Modernization Act, expanding the definition of “limousine” to include other types of vehicles and increase insurance limits to $1.5 million for vehicles carrying 15 or fewer passengers.
Brennan was previously honored by the same journal in 2012 when she was named as part of the “40 Under Forty” list. She has also served as president of the Minneapolis chapter of Executive Women International.

Liz Carisone, CEO of Goundlink
New York — GroundLink, a global provider of tech-enabled black car service, announced the appointment of Liz Carisone as chief executive officer. Carisone most recently served as chief financial officer/senior vice president of operations and has been with GroundLink since 2012. She replaces Dean Sivley, who will be assisting his friend and mentor John Noel in transitioning the leadership of Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection. Sivley will retain equity participation in GroundLink.

Carisone has held multiple roles within the GroundLink executive team in recent years and played a critical role in setting and executing strategy. She has driven improvements in GroundLink’s unique customer offering, consisting of mobile, web, and call center service. She has also scaled the company’s infrastructure, which allows GroundLink to provide a seamless booking, ride, and billing experience for customers. In her new role, Carisone will oversee the global operations and strategic direction of GroundLink and continue to drive the company’s mission to be a leading tech-enabled black car service for corporate travelers.
Prior to joining GroundLink, Carisone was the CFO of Kroll Consulting Services, a global provider of risk management services. Earlier she served as CFO of London-based Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA), a subsidiary of Travelport, a leading travel commerce and technology services company. She also has held senior financial leadership roles with Fisher Scientific, Warner Lambert, and Allied Signal.
