Newark, Del. — Driving Dynamics has announced it has been named as a 2016 award recipient in the twenty-eighth annual Awards for Publication Excellence competition. The award, presented in the Education & Training category, was for the custom Drive@Beste-lesson developed for a Driving Dynamics’ global fleet client.
Produced in more than 20 different languages and accessible through desktop and mobile devices, this e-lesson targets the mind and body connection to driving. It explores common personal challenges drivers face that may prevent safe driving capabilities from being at peak performance levels. Factors such as emotional distress, fatigue, poor nutrition, willingness to accept additional risk, and change in health status are among some of the concepts covered.
To further engage learners, an interactive board game was built in as a key deliverable of the lesson. Its components were inspired by classic games that have remained relevant across decades and generations and crossed international boundaries.
“Our client’s fleet safety experts challenged our development team to bring a new and exciting aspect to their e-lesson experience, one which could be easily implemented and communicated across varied groups,” said Driving Dynamics President Art Liggio.
This marks the ninth APEX award received by Driver Dynamics. The APEX Awards for Publication Excellence are an annual competition for publishers, editors, writers, and designers who create print, Web, electronic, and social media. Sponsored by the editors of Writer's Web Watch, the awards are given based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the overall effectiveness of the entry.

Williamstown, N.J. —The holiday spirit was in full swing on November 19 when Cross Keys Coach held their first-ever stuff-a-limo toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots. Local vendors and entertainment also took part in the all-day event.
“We had a good year and felt it was time to give something back to the community,” explained Don Kensey, president of Cross Keys Coach.
In addition to food trucks, a DJ, a selfie booth, and bounce houses for the kids, the one-and-only Santa Claus was present to take free photos with attendees inside a limo bus.
“Other than just having a limo here to collect toys, we wanted do ‘go big or go home’ and make it something we could do every year and shine a light on our town,” Kensey said.
The company distributed 2000 flyers throughout the South Jersey region with help from area teens and school children.
By the day’s end, a stretch limousine was filled to capacity with hundreds of new and unwrapped toys. The limo was then driven to a Toys for Tots facility in Clarksboro, N.J, with an escort from the Legion Riders of Williamstown motorcycle club.
